Samba Live 5.39 introduces a new functionality that allows Users to bookmark the meetings' important moments in real-time while recording, making it easier for Users to find and review the marked times in the recordings later.
Great news to mobile Speakers! The new Breakout Room panel has been implemented, featuring key functionalities.
Lastly, this update contains minor bug fixes and miscellaneous security enhancements across the platform making Samba Live even better!
Account Center
New Features
- Added a new config to set the number of days before the expired users and their data are automatically deleted.
- Added an API endpoint for managing polls. Developers can now add new polls, get a list of existing polls, modify existing polls, and delete one, several, or all polls via the API.
Fixed
- Security enhancements.
- Resolved a pagination issue that occurred when viewing or editing a user in the Admin panel.
In-Room
New Features
- Added a bookmark functionality to recordings. Users can now add bookmarks to indicate points of interest in a recording while it's being recorded during session runtime. Bookmark lists are now downloadable from the Recordings section of the Account Center and through the Recording API.
- We added a 'play streams' button to our app when running on iOS mobile browsers. This will allow iOS browser users to participate in sessions, despite Apple's restrictive autoplay policies. However, we always recommend that mobile users install our app for an optimal experience.
- Updated the 'File Preview' functionality in the Content Library so that when a Speaker clicks on the 'show' button, the presentation will open on the same slide as the preview.
Fixed
- Resolved a problem wherein language was not updating when changing it in the Workspace settings during meeting runtime if the room was embedded in an iframe.
- Updated the design for the Breakout Rooms list with a more interactive appearance to ensure all users understand they can click to enter.
- Resolved issue wherein certain media files were not being uploaded during forced layouts.
Mobile
New Features
- Implemented the new Breakout Room panel featuring key functionalities for mobile Speakers such as starting and stopping rooms, joining any open room and leaving it, and broadcasting messages to all rooms.
- Updated the "End Session" dialog box with more concise messaging.
