What's New on Samba Live in 2022

We are constantly looking for ways to improve our platform. We have added a tonne of new features and improvements lately. 

Here are the most important Samba Live features released this year.

New emoji reactions

We have implemented one of the most requested features - Emoji Reactions! Use popular emojis like  , , , , so you can engage in a fun way instantly.

Vimeo integration is now available

Users can now add and open Vimeo links directly from the Content Library. Vimeo integration is an excellent addition to our existing YouTube and Facebook Live integration. 

New breakout room features 

New Breakout Room options, including "Allow Audience users to freely move around Breakout Rooms" and "Allow everyone to broadcast" are now available via API calls.

Anonymous polls

Speakers can now conduct anonymous polls during meetings using the content library.

New layout options

Users can now see up to 8 tiles when content is open on tiled mode.

New mobile app features

We have made our mobile app more feature-rich and stylish.

🎨 Menu design
We have made our menu more user-friendly and intuitive.

🎤 Remote peripherals management for mobile users
Mobile users can now mute the mic of a remote user, ask a remote user to unmute their mic, turn off a remote user’s camera, and ask remote users to turn on their camera.

🔎 New Search Box feature
Mobile users can now search for a specific user in the room using the search box.

📸 New “switch camera” functionality
Mobile users can now switch between streaming with their device's back camera and front camera.

📱New screen sharing feature for Android
Speakers using Android are now able to share their screens with other participants.
